Washington — A key Senate Republican on Wednesday reintroduced a bill aimed at easing federal licensing requirements for hydropower projects. Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski’s bill, the Hydropower Improvement Act of 2013, is co-sponsored by four Democrats and two Republicans and is the companion legislation to a House bill (HR 267) approved by a 422-0 vote on February 13.
