Asian PVC prices were steady to firm this week as demand was mostly flat amid tight supply. PVC rose $2.50/mt week on week to $957.50/mt CFR China Wednesday, rose $5/ mt to $995/mt CFR India, and was flat at $960/mt CFR Southeast Asia. India last week raised its import duty on a range of polymers including polypropylene, polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride to 7.5% from 5%.
