Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene was assessed down $13/ mt week on week at $1,935/mt CFR China and flat over the same period at $1,943/mt CFR Southeast Asia Wednesday as some producers lowered offers despite relatively high raw material costs. No new offer had been heard from Taiwan’s Chi Mei Wednesday afternoon, but sources close to the company said it was likely the major producer would drop prices this week. Another Taiwanese producer, Formosa Chemicals & Fiber Corp., lowered its ABS list price by $40/ mt Wednesday to $1,950/mt CFR China, market sources said.
