Initial NWE March MEG CP settled at Eur1,070/mt FD, down Eur35/mt

London — An initial European contract price for monoethylene glycol was settled Wednesday at Eur1,070/mt ($1,393/mt) for March, industry sources said. The settlement was between seller BASF and its customer Indorama. Neither was immediately available for confirmation. The parties have also now fully settled the February contract price at Eur1,105/mt FD NWE, according to sources. The initial February CP was done between Arteco and producer Ineos in late January, but it failed to garner support from the industry. The decrease in the March European CP tracks Asia CP developments.
