US polypropylene prices were trending down this week after contract prices for feedstock polymer-grade propylene settled at a 2.5-cent/lb ($55/mt) decrease for October, market sources said. With October PGP contracts falling to 67.50 cents/lb delivered, domestic contract PP prices for homopolymer injection for October were assessed Wednesday at 76.50-77.50 cents/lb ($1,687- $1,708/mt) delivered-railcar basis, down 2.5 cents/lb for their lowest levels since July (74-75 cents/lb), per Platts data.
