US spot refinery-grade propylene was half-cent lower week on week, to be assessed Friday at 56.25-56.75 cents/ lb delivered. October RGP was last heard bid Friday at 55.25 cents/lb MtB-pipe and offered at 58 cents/lb MtBpipe. One October RGP trade was heard on Thursday at 55 cents/lb MtB-pipe. “We are seeing a drop in polymergrade propylene spot prices, which is not reflected in the RGP spot prices -- RGP supply is tight, and with refinery turnaround season knocking at the door, I do not expect it getting better in the near future,” a buyer source said. In production, PetroLogistics’ turnaround at its Houston, Texas propane dehydrogenation plant was going as planned and was expected completed in the next two weeks, company source familiar with operations said.
