Asian styrene monomer prices dipped $5/mt week on week to $1,788.50/mt FOB Korea and $1,817.50/mt CFR China as demand weakened despite several plants facing shutdowns or minor problems. Prices dropped $12/mt from Thursday. There was market talk of August-loading cargo trading at $1,830/mt CFR China and September-loading trading at $1,800/mt CFR China, but details could not be confirmed. However, sources said the buyers for Augustloading were no higher than $1,820-1,830/mt CFR China, while bid for September loading was last seen at $1,790/ mt CFR China.
