Asian linear low density polyethylene prices fell this week amid slipping crude oil and futures values. The CFR Far East Asia and CFR Southeast Asia markers fell $40/mt and $45/ mt, respectively, to $1,410/mt and $1,455/mt Wednesday, while the CFR South Asia marker was assessed at $1,500/ mt CFR, down $5/mt over the same period. The spot market could not draw support from the futures market on China’s Dalian Commodity Exchange, where actively traded May LLDPE futures fell Yuan 375/mt week on week to Yuan 10,575/mt Wednesday.
