The assessment for the Brazilian linear low-density polyethylene import market decreased $30/mt week on week, assessed Wednesday at $1,560-1,570/mt CFR Brazil. A Chinese origin-offer was heard at $1,580/mt CFR Brazil for a volume of 100-mt, however, this offer was not used as part of the assessment process because the volume does not meet requirements for Platt’s methodology.
