Sources in North Africa said the downtrend in prices remained supported by improving supply conditions. Qatar Petrochemical Company, or Qapco, nominated its April Middle East Contract Price for low density polyethylene at $1,490/mt FD UAE, down $70/mt from March, sources close to negotiations said Tuesday. Nominations for HDPE blowmolding, film and LLDPE were at $1,530/mt FD UAE, $1,510/mt and $1,480/mt, respectively. “Most Middle Eastern suppliers have dropped their prices by $40-70/mt for April.
