Methanex rolls over April USG methanol CP at 134 cents/gal

Houston — Vancouver-based methanol producer Methanex Wednesday nominated its April US Gulf contract price at 134 cents/gallon ($446/mt), unchanged from March and in line with market expectations. Methanex monthly contract prices have remained steady at 134 cents/gallon since January of 2012. After discounts and rebates that average 13%, the April CP would be around 116.58 cents/gallon. Market participants said they expected Methanex would roll over its CP based on no production issues and ample supply.
