US spot ethylene saw little change this week, climbing 0.25 cents/lb week on week, assessed Friday at 61.50-62 cents/ lb FD USG amid thin trading and quiet markets. Platts did not assess US markets on Monday, due to the Presidents' Day Holiday. Backwardation was still heard throughout the week with March ethylene bids/offers trailing February within a quarter-cent -- bids for February products were reported consistently in the range of 60-61.75 cents/ lb MtB Wms, against offers reported in the 63-64 cents/ lb MtB Wms, while March bids were reported as low as 59.875 and as high as 61.75 cents/lb. March offers were heard in the 62.50-63 range throughout the week.
