European high density polyethylene injection spot prices took a hit this week as converters began to de-stock, sources said. Price offers fell to Eur1,340-1,370/mt FD NWE. "Demand for caps, closures and crates is dragging," a producer noted. While injection price declined, blowmolding and bi-modal prices remained strong amid tight supply; offers remained at Eur1,400/mt FD NWE level and higher for both. One trader reported sourcing blowmolding product from the US.
