The Asian polyethylene terephthalate market was assessed at $1,529/mt FOB Northeast Asia and $1,559/mt FOB Southeast Asia Wednesday, flat from the previous week, and at the lowest since January 18. Trading activity was sluggish this week as Chinese market participants were absent due to a public holiday Monday-Wednesday. In Northeast Asia, no offers were reported from China due to the holiday, while South Korean producers were also out of the market due to limited spot availability.
