The Asian PVC market was flat to slightly firmer this week in thin discussions on the back of China’s bullish domestic market. PVC CFR China was flat week on week at $1,020/ mt Wednesday, CFR Southeast Asia rose $5/mt over the same period to $1,020/mt, and CFR India was flat at $1,040/mt. In China, deals were heard at $1,010-1,030/mt CFR China. “Although the demand remains still slow, the domestic PVC market was bullish due to low inventories and high cost pressure,” a trader said.
