The Latin American PVC assessments increased marginally week on week Wednesday, up $5/mt to $1,145/mt CFR Peru and up $5/mt to $1,200/mt CFR Brazil, amid higher offers for March on tightening supply, sources said. Buying interest in Peru remained muted over the week as some buyers were heard either long on inventories or awaiting cargoes shipped to the country up to two months prior that were delayed. Offers to Peru for March were heard near $1,150/mt CFR from the US, with freight estimated at $90- 100/mt and South Korean offers at $1,030-1,040/mt FOB Korea.
