Seoul — South Korea’s petrochemical makers plan to invest Won 6.5 trillion ($6.1 billion) in the upgrade and expansion of their production facilities in 2013, up 3.2% from 2012, Korea Petrochemical Industry Association said Wednesday. The association said its members were aiming to export $46.6 billion worth of product in 2013, up 1.5% from an estimated $45.9 billion in 2012.
