US polypropylene producers and distributors were ramping up sales efforts, with some eight weeks to go in the year, sources said this week. With October more than halfway over and November and December reduced two three business weeks each because of holidays, there was urgency to sell and hammer out contract terms for next year, a source with a major US producer said.
