US weekly ethanol production at lowest level since October: EIA

Houston —US weekly ethanol production declined for the third consecutive week as it fell 19,000 b/d to 865,000 b/d, the lowest level since October, according to data released Wednesday by the Energy Information Administration. The data covers the week that ended Friday. Weekly ethanol production had not been this low since the reporting week ended October 7, when it was at 860,000 b/d. Production had been sliding since the reporting week ended April 6, when it was at 896,000 b/d, making for a 31,000 b/d decrease through the month of April so far. Weekly ethanol inventories shed 116,000 barrels to 21.852 million barrels as stocks lessened in the US East Coast and US Gulf Coast.
