The European acrylonitrile market fell this week as prices closed Tuesday at $1,795-1,800/mt CIF Med. The decline was attributed by some sources as being due to weak demand. “Maybe there is low inventory, but I have not seen somebody going out of their way to buy product... Consumption is down,” a trader added. In terms of stock inventory, sources said it was low, but there was not any particular tightness in the market.
