Mexico's Pemex Petroquimica expressed concern over falling US propylene prices, said a company source. According to US market participants, US propylene traders have been selling material as a result of the expectation of falling March prices. The US scheduled maintenance season is expected to be below the five year average likely supporting inventories. Propylene supplies domestically remain tight in Mexico as a result of quality issues at its 330,000 barrels/day Salina Cruz refinery in Qaxaca and the 320,000 barrels/day Tula refinery in Hidalgo.
