Spot acrylontrile prices in Europe rose $25/mt (Eur19/mt) week-on-week to close Tuesday at $1,905/mt CIF Med, a 16- week high, Platts data showed. Slack demand however was capping the market's upside, with the turnaround at LukOil's 140,000 mt/year Saratov plant in Russia having limited impact on supply, sources said. Buy and sell indications were far apart, with most producers arguing that the $2,000- 2,050/mt range was justified by the high feedstock cost environment.
