Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene was assessed down $80/mt week on week to $1,960/mt CFR China and down $60/mt to $1,990/mt CFR Southeast Asia Wednesday following recent steep falls in feedstock butadiene and amid low demand. Taiwanese producer Chi Mei slashed its offer $120/mt, or 5.7%, to $2,000/mt CFR China last Friday, and on Tuesday, Taiwan’s Formosa Chemicals & Fiber Corp. followed suit, lowering its offer $90/mt to $1,980/mt CFR China.
