Although March demand was heard soft for for polystyrene, at least one producer was heard set to increase its high- impact polystyrene up 2 cents/lb for April on higher butadiene costs while rolling over its general-purpose pricing. Domestic levels were assessed at either side of 93 cents/lb delivered railcar for GPPS and at either side of 104 cents/lb delivered for HIPS. For export, assessments remained flat in a range of $1,650-1,660/mt FAS Houston for GPPS and at $1,850-1,860/mt for HIPS.
