EDC: Prices rose to $270/mt FOB NWE in line with a number of reported deals and following the increase of upstream and downstream product prices. The September ethylene contract price was fully settled Friday at Eur1,300/mt FD NWE, up Eur125/mt on the month, while PVC spot prices were seen moving up Eur30/mt from last week. EDC demand in Asia was still seen as weak, sources said but there were opportunities to sell into India, where construction demand was still strong for PVC.
