US acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene was assessed stable week on week at 121 cents/lb delivered rail car Wednesday, but sources said price increases were possible for later in September and into October due to rising feedstock styrene prices. Due to the recent rise in styrene prices in Europe and in the US, sources said ABS prices could rise at least 2 cents in the next month. A flattening of prices is possible in October before they head lower, a producer said. Styrene was assessed at 72.25 cents/lb FOB USG Wednesday, 4.75 cents/lb higher week on week.
