The Asian paraxylene market was assessed at $1,528.50/mt FOB Korea and $1,553.50/mt CFR Taiwan/China Friday, down $4/mt from Thursday. Compared with 12:30 pm Singapore time last Thursday, the market was down $15/mt. Platts moved forward its assessment timing by four hours last Thursday and did not publish assessments last Friday due to a public holiday in Singapore. Trading in the Asian PX market Friday morning was active, with more than 20 bids and offers registered.
