The Asian paraxylene market was assessed at $1,561.50/mt FOB Korea and $1,586.50/mt CFR Taiwan/China Friday, down $10/mt from Thursday. On a week-on-week basis, the markers rose $2/mt. Market sentiment was firmer this week, lifted by rebounding purified terephthalic acid as well and the leadup to settlement announcements of the Asian Contract Price for April. The CFR China PTA price was assessed at $1,169/mt Friday, up $18/mt from a week earlier.
