EDC: EDC offers climbed this week as increased buy interest was seen in the European vinyls industry. Production outages, increasing seasonal PVC demand and low stock levels all helped drive buyers onto the EDC market. Meanwhile, sell ideas were boosted by the increase in costs, as well as cost pressure, in order to improve the negative value of chlorine in the ECU because the caustic soda price hike initiative for Q2 appeared to be falling flat. A seller reported cargoes at $330/mt FOB R'dam for April shipment while a further cargo at around $350/mt FOB was rumored but not confirmed by either party.
