HDPE spot export prices for injection and blow molding were assessed 1 cent/lb ($22/mt) higher on the week while film was assessed 0.5 cents/lb ($11/mt) higher. A producer offered blow molding out of the US at 68 cents/lb in railcars, 70.5 cents/lb ($1,554/mt) FAS Houston in bags, but there was no deal at that level. The FAS price was too close to CFR levels in South America to make back to back deals. Traders were also in no mood to take long positions as there was little confidence in the market going up.
