Asian propylene prices on an FOB Korea basis edged up week on week on higher crude and supply tightness. The FOB Korea and FOB Japan benchmark prices were both assessed at $1,375/mt Friday, up $5/mt week on week. An H2 April loading cargo was offered Tuesday at $1,420/mt FOB Korea, while the bid was at $1,370/mt FOB Korea. Two April- loading cargoes were traded Thursday and Friday at $1,430/mt FOB Korea and $1,445/mt FOB Korea, but Platts did not take the deals into the assessments as details of the deals could not be confirmed. A South Korea producer offered any May loading cargoes at $1,420/mt FOB Korea.
