In Peru, the PVC price increased $20/mt for the second consecutive week on tight supply and higher offer prices. The price was assessed on either side of $980/mt CFR Wednesday. Limited supply availability from US producers was putting upward pressure in the Peruvian PVC market, according to an Asian producer, who was waiting for direction from the US market to offer resin prices in Peru. No offers from Colombia were heard this week.
