The March PVC contract was reported settled this week with increases of Eur65-75/mt ($86-100/mt) by producers and converters. Reports were mixed on both sides as some producers said they had settled the majority of their contracts with increases in the Eur60-65 range while others said they settled the majority at Eur70/mt and the remainder at Eur75/mt. Equally, some converters reported increases of "not more than Eur65/mt" while others reported increases between Eur70-75/mt. Producers and converters added that supplies remained tight, and a couple of sources said PVC stocks were 20-25% lower than at this point in 2011.
