FOB NWE butadiene price levels rose $50/mt this week as interest in export cargoes for the US Gulf Coast increased, leading to a firmer market in Europe. One producer confirmed selling at $3,200/mt FOB for a parcel bigger than 1kt and suggested price levels could increase further. The producer also reported receiving bids as high as $3,300/mt, although many traders believed the level was too high to work shipments to the US.
