Asian PVC markets firmed this week after Asian producers announced their May offer prices. The CFR China and CFR India markers gained $10/mt week on week Wednesday to be assessed at $1,050/mt and $1,100/mt, while the CFR Southeast Asia assessment rose $2/mt over the same period to $1,067/mt. Key Asian producer Formosa Plastics announced its offer for Taiwan-origin cargoes for May arrival at $1,060/mt CFR China, $1,100/mt CFR India and $1,070/mt CFR Southeast Asia on Tuesday, up $20-30/mt from April settlement prices.
