Spot HDPE film prices continued to command a premium to other grades this week as the market continued to battle persistent tightness. Spot film values were talked at near 66 cents/lb FAS Houston while both blow molding and injection were at 63.50-64.50 cents/lb FAS Houston. Still, given the lofty spot values, sources said that demand for US material was nominal and spot activity was sparse, with no confirmed deals reported. In Asia, HDPE-film was assessed Wednesday at $1,330/mt CFR Far East Asia on stronger demand from Europe.
