Spot polymer grade propylene prices in Northwest Europe sustained their upward momentum this week, breaching the Eur1,100/mt ($1,407/mt) mark for the first time in four months, propped up by post-holiday buying and logistics issues. Fresh buying interest was met by a jump in offers that were mostly heard near the September contract price of Eur1,160/mt FD NWE. With the high feedstock cost environment, "I guess you have to pay these high prices if you want to buy spot supply," a trader said.
