EDC: US export values edged up $5/mt week over week to be assessed at $190-200/mt FOB USG. Higher feedstock ethylene values and supply tightness in the EDC ethylene market were supporting the rise in prices, according to sources. Limited trading activity was reported as exports to Asia were not an option for US traders due to high ethylene and freight rates leaving no room for profits, traders said. In Asia, EDC values increased $10/mt week on week to be assessed at $268/mt CFR Far East Asia, and Southeast Asian prices rose $7/mt to $265/mt CFR as result of firm ethylene prices.
