Spot acrylonitrile prices in Europe continued to creep up this week, rising by a further $10/mt to an eight-month high of $2,320/mt CIF Med, Platts data showed. March business was done and most industry players awaited the contract price settlement for feedstock propylene, which is widely expected to show a further increase in April on the back of firmer naphtha. A seller said he was offering $2,350/mt for April, while a producer yet to fix his April nominations felt $2,350/mt "sounds very reasonable." Many buyers said they received offers at around $2,350/mt for April, but were in no rush to commit.
