Northwest European polystyrene prices registered week-onweek gains of Eur40/mt ($52/mt) to Eur1,505/mt FD NWE for general purpose grade and Eur1,635/mt for high-impact grade product. Thus far into the month, increases of Eur80-90/mt were reported to be widely accepted by medium-sized convertors and order intakes were healthy. Regional demand was stable into September, but concerns were mounting on a sharp jump in October prices given an exceptionally bullish styrene market.
