Spot LDPE availability remained severely constrained this week and trading was thin on the back of lofty spot prices. Sources talked spot prices this week in the mid to upper- 60's cents/lb range though all talk was notional as prices were too high to work to overseas destinations. Accordingly, no confirmed deals were reported. Domestic demand remained firm as buyers were expected to face further price hikes in September. Most sellers were reportedly successful in pushing through 5 cents/lb price increases in August while Nova was heard to have implemented a 3 cents/lb increase.
