Butadiene prices rose $60/mt week on week to $2,050/mt CFR China Friday amid firmer demand from local endusers. Spot activity was focused on material from South Korea. Samsung-Total Tuesday sold a parcel for $2,000/mt CFR Korea for H1 October. YNCC later Tuesday sold a H1 October parcel for $2,000/mt FOB Korea to an end-user in China, and Friday sold another cargo for H2 October at the same price. The FOB Korea benchmark was up $40/mt week on week at $2,000/mt. However, CFR Taiwan prices lagged CFR China prices, gaining $10/mt on week to $1,990/mt as storage tanks at Kaohsiung were full, and several deepsea cargoes could not be unloaded.
