Sentiment in the Asian PTA market was also firm this week in response to the recovery in China's polyester markets, which had been bearish since the Lunar New Year holidays. The early-week recovery in China's polyester chain was driven by rising textile sales, which market sources said rose to over 6 million meters early week, the highest level since the holidays.
