New York-US Midwest refinery margins fell sharply last week, particularly Bakken cracking margins, which dropped $5.29/b to average $9.50/b last week as yields fell faster crude, an analysis of Platts margins showed. Spot Bakken crude averaged $45.52/b last week, Platts price assessments showed, down from the $47.85/b the week earlier, despite the largest crude oil supply drop in state history. North Dakota’s oil production fell to 1.04 million b/d in April, down more than 70,400 b/d from March, according to state oil and gas regulators last week.
