China’s Penglai to have new oil output in 2017, 2018

The Penglai oil project-China’s largest offshore project-is expected to see first oil from from the Penglai 19-9 field in 2017, and from Penglai 19-3/19-9 Phase 3 in 2018, equity partner ConocoPhillips said in a filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission recently. Construction of a new wellhead platform and up to 62 wells for developing Penglai 19-9 was progressing per schedule, the US company said.
