Rosneft, Indian consortium sign deal for Vankor oil stake

St Petersburg, Russia-Russia’s top crude producer Rosneft and a consortium comprising Oil India Limited, Indian Oil Corporation and Bharat PetroResources Limited signed an agreement Friday to purchase a 23.9% stake in Vankorneft at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The agreement creates an international energy hub that will boost the production potential of the Vankor cluster in East Siberia and marks a strengthening of the strategic relationship between India and Russia.
