Algeria’s oil, gas export revenue slips by a third in h1

Algiers-Algeria’s revenue from oil and gas exports between January and July was 32% lower year on year at $14.19 billion, data from the National Customs Statistics Center showed. The government agency attributed the decline to lower global oil prices. With oil and gas exports accounting for nearly 94% of Algeria’s exports, the country’s customs data for the past three years closely reflect the major oil-price downturn that began mid-2014.
