North Dakota oil supply sees historic drop

Washington-North Dakota’s oil production fell to 1.04 million b/d in April, down more than 70,400 b/d from March, the largest supply drop in state history, according to new data released Wednesday. Lynn Helms, the state’s top oil and natural gas regulator, tried to downplay the dramatic supply decline as a possible aberration caused by weather factors that hindered production and well maintenance efforts throughout April.
