China’s 2017 oil exports may rise futher

Singapore-China’s oil product exports are expected to rise even further in 2017 and surpass 2016 levels as refiners will keep looking for new markets amid surplus capacity, but the climb won’t be sharp, according to Zhao Yong, the president of PetroChina International Co. Ltd., or Chinaoil. “The increase is unlikely to be sharp, as refining throughput is expected to move in line with margins, resulting in exports remaining within a relatively reasonable level,” Zhao told S&P Global Platts late last week.
