Singapore-China’s crude oil imports in May jumped nearly 40% year on year to 7.92 million b/d, buoyed by strong demand from independent refineries as well as for strategic stock building. The figure was slightly lower than the second-highest level of 7.96 million b/d recorded in April, but surged 38.7% year on year from a low base in the same month of last year, according to preliminary data released Wednesday by the General Administration of Customs Wednesday.
